The short answer

For a small business marketing site, expect somewhere between €300 and €3,000 as a one-off build cost, plus €5–€25 a month for hosting and a domain. Where you land in that range depends less on the number of pages and more on who builds it and how much of the work is custom.

DIY builders (Wix, Squarespace, Shopify)

Budget €10–€40 a month for the platform itself. It's the cheapest way to get something live, but you're trading money for your own time — expect several evenings of setup, and a result that often looks close to the template it started as.

Freelancers

Independent designers and builders typically charge €500–€2,500 for a multi-page marketing site, depending on scope: how many pages, whether a logo or brand system is included, and whether SEO and form wiring are part of the job. This is usually the best value for a founder who wants something that looks considered without agency overhead.

Agencies

Agencies bring more process and more people, which shows up in the price — commonly €3,000–€15,000+ for a comparable small business site. Worth it if you need a larger team or ongoing retainer work; often more than a single-site launch needs.

What actually moves the price

  • Number of pages — a one-page site costs less than a five-page site with a blog
  • Brand work — building a visual identity from scratch costs more than integrating an existing logo
  • Content & SEO — copywriting and on-page SEO are usually quoted separately from the build itself
  • Forms and deployment — a working contact form wired to email, and a tested launch, add time even on a simple site
